In view of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf protest today, a heavy contingent of police, Rangers and FC has been deployed in the federal capital Islamabad, while the routes coming from Punjab and KP to the twin cities have been closed and trenches have been dug in various cities to block the exits from the city.

Number 26 Chungi has been completely sealed by installing containers and Rangers have been deployed there, while the Srinagar Highway has also been closed at Zero Point.


The expressway has also been closed on both sides at Khanna Bridge. A fire broke out in a container kept at Khanna Bridge, but the cause of the fire could not be ascertained. Containers have also been placed on the road to the airport, while the road from Faizabad to Islamabad has also been closed.


In Rawalpindi, police detained 16 people from Faizabad. Police say that 100 to 150 PTI workers were present, who were dispersed and some were detained.


On the other hand, PTI leaders claim that 490 workers and leaders have been arrested from different cities of Punjab so far, while 100 are missing.



Chief Minister KP leaves for Islamabad from Peshawar, Bushra Bibi also joins the convoy

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has left Peshawar in a convoy for Swabi, where convoys from other areas will also arrive, after which the convoys led by Ali Amin Gandapur will leave for Islamabad.


On the other hand, official sources say that Bushra Bibi is also part of the PTI protest convoy, but Bushra Bibi is riding in a separate vehicle.

In this regard, Bushra Bibi's sister Maryam Riaz Wattoo has said in her statement that Bushra Bibi is in the convoy, but the lead party will lead the convoy.

All roads leading to Adiala Jail closed

The roads leading to Adiala Jail have been completely sealed, while the main highway leading to the jail has been closed to all types of traffic.


Police personnel have been deployed at various places on Adiala Jail Road and containers have been erected on the road leading to the jail. Residents are facing severe difficulties due to the closure of Adiala Road.


In this regard, police officials say that no demonstration is allowed towards Adiala Jail.
